Follow the official installation guide for your operating system, then open the local SillyTavern interface. Open API Connections using the plug icon. Select Chat Completion, then Custom (OpenAI-compatible) as the source. Enter https://infistar.ai/v1, your Infistar key and the exact model ID. Connect and select that connection for a new conversation. If replies are cut short, check output limits and the amount of history sent. Custom endpoints provide the selected model’s capabilities; they do not imply support for every client setting.

Check the connection

Use an exact model ID available to your key, and begin with a short text request. For coding agents, first ask for a reply without reading or changing files or running commands. A successful text reply does not verify every tool or multimodal feature. For 401, check the key and its status. For 404, check the address and protocol.
