Install the release appropriate to your system from Claude Code Router. CCR runs a local routing service; keep it running while the connected client uses it. Add a provider with your Infistar key, base URL https://infistar.ai/v1 and an exact model ID. Select OpenAI Responses if using a Responses-capable model, or the supported upstream format matching the model’s catalog entry. In the client configuration section, apply the provider and model to the intended client, then start the routing server. If the client cannot connect, check that the local service is running and that its selected upstream format matches the endpoint. Avoid multiple configuration managers editing the same client at once.

Check the connection

Use an exact model ID available to your key, and begin with a short text request. For coding agents, first ask for a reply without reading or changing files or running commands. A successful text reply does not verify every tool or multimodal feature. For 401, check the key and its status. For 404, check the address and protocol.
