AiMaMi is a third-party manager for Codex accounts, sessions and configuration. Obtain it from [the project releases](https://github.com/borawong/AiMaMi/releases), and confirm that it detects the intended Codex directory. Close Codex and back up its configuration before making changes.

In the relay/provider configuration, add Infistar with `https://infistar.ai/v1`, your Infistar key and an exact Responses-capable model ID. Save and enable the configuration.

When using AiMaMi's local proxy, keep AiMaMi running while Codex connects through it. For local proxy failures, check its state before changing the remote API address. Close both applications before restoring a backup; avoid competing configuration managers.

## Check the connection

Use an exact model ID available to your key, and begin with a short text request. For coding agents, first ask for a reply without reading or changing files or running commands. A successful text reply does not verify every tool or multimodal feature.

For 401, check the key and its status. For 404, check the address and protocol. For model errors, recheck the model ID and selected group. See [HTTP troubleshooting](/en/troubleshooting/http-status-troubleshooting).
